Stereo Buddha was Founded in London, in the summer of 2010 by Siddharth Sharma and Shubhangi Tewari, It was meant to be a studio project, but as time passed, the duo realized that they can turn it into a bigger entity ; a lush dreamscape of sound! Stereo Buddha’s Motto is simple “Sonic Enlightenment” which is what stereo buddha literally means!. After almost 2 years into production, their debut album called “Evaporate” was released on 9th February 2013. The music on Stereo Buddha’s debut album was created over this period in 3 different cities– Edinburgh, London and finally Delhi, starting when the members resided in the UK as students, but in different cities. They had worked together previously on other music projects and discovered they had a creative synergy that allowed them to create music even across the barrier of physical distance, sharing ideas over the internet and sometimes even the phone! However, this supposed ‘disadvantage’ worked out rather well for us as it has added a different dimension and depth to the music. One listen to the album and we’re sure, people will have trouble pigeon-holing us into any one genre. For the sake of classification though, we like to think of ourselves as downtempo, Having said that, we do not compose our music with any rules or theory binding us and are guaranteed to overstep our generic boundaries.
